K&L Gates Adds 40 Lawyers to Firm’s Partnership

The group comprises 40 individuals representing 22 offices, including Berlin, Boston, Brisbane, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Doha, Dubai, Los Angeles, Luxembourg, Melbourne, Nashville, New York, Newark, Orange County, Palo Alto, Pittsburgh, Research Triangle Park, Seattle, Seoul, Sydney, and Washington, D.C.

Katherine Allor (Chicago) is an intellectual property litigator with experience in many phases of patent litigation, including both supporting and defending charges of patent infringement. She is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has experience in numerous post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board.
Farah Al-Nabulsi (Dubai) regularly advises on M&A transactions, investment and joint venture arrangements, market entry, restructurings and disposal transactions, corporate governance, and other corporate commercial and advisory matters.
Corey Bieber (Chicago) advises clients on legal matters involving technology licensing, information security, privacy, and compliance. This includes engagements concerning data privacy and security, biometrics, HIPAA, software copyrights, and software and information technology services licensing. He also leverages his professional technology background to develop customized litigation analytics software for clients in class action litigation matters.
Jan Boeing (Luxembourg) has experience in a variety of international, multi-jurisdictional banking and finance transactions, including debt restructuring, capital market matters, and regulatory matters relating to the financial services industry.
Kevin Cao (Palo Alto) focuses his practice on venture capital financings, reorganizations, M&A transactions, and corporate governance matters. He has represented various domestic and international clients across industries including technology, products, banking, energy, aviation, and real estate.
Chris Carson (New York) focuses his practice on advising corporate clients on the tax aspects of cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and similar transactions, as well as advising asset management clients on tax matters in connection with private equity fund structures.
Damiano Castelli (Brisbane) is a real estate lawyer who works across the renewable energy, resources and infrastructure projects sector, in addition to having experience managing the acquisition, development, leasing, and disposal of commercial, industrial, retail, and residential property.
Simon Chan (Doha) has experience advising financial institutions, corporate sponsors, and borrowers on general financing, including project, leveraged, asset, and Islamic financings, as well as restructurings. He also advises project companies, sponsors, and lenders on the development and financing of large infrastructure projects.
Penny Chen Fox (Los Angeles) represents employers in numerous sectors and industries in high-stakes wage and hour class action and California Private Attorneys General Act matters. She has successfully defended a broad range of companies against individual, class, and representative wage and hour actions in state and federal courts.
Andrew Chung (Seoul) focuses his practice primarily in the areas of cross-border commercial transactions involving both public and private companies and private equity investments, including multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions on behalf of both Korean and global clients.
Christopher Fernandez (Charlotte) represents lenders, servicers, and special servicers in a variety of transactions, including workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, and bankruptcies. He has experience in nearly all aspects of loan servicing, general commercial litigation, discovery, e-discovery, and bankruptcy litigation.
Andrew Feucht (Seattle) represents a variety of public institutions, private investment programs, and other limited partners in their alternative investments. These investment partnerships include venture capital funds, leveraged buyout funds, and distressed debt funds, among others.
Alanna Fitzpatrick (Brisbane) is a workplace health and safety lawyer who assists clients in responding to and engaging with regulators investigating safety incidents in order to help minimize the risk of reputational damage and personal/corporate prosecution.
Meghan Flinn (Washington, D.C.) focuses her practice on government investigations, regulatory enforcement actions, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate level. She represents individuals, investment advisers, broker-dealers, public companies, banks, and other financial institutions before various state and federal regulators and enforcement authorities.

Gina Johnson (Chicago) focuses her practice on patent litigation matters including cases in district courts across the country and before the International Trade Commission, both supporting and in defense of charges of patent infringement. She also advises clients on patent litigation risks and opportunities, trade secret policies and protocols, and risk mitigation through IP licensing.
Derek Kelley (Washington, D.C.) assists clients with boycott claims, restructurings, complex product liability litigations, monopolization, and antitrust risks associated with mergers and potential litigation.

William LeDoux (Dallas) has a broad state and local tax focus with experience in multi-state tax planning and controversy matters involving sales, franchise, property, and income taxes and unclaimed property. Eric Lee (Boston) concentrates his practice on trademark, copyright, patent, and other complex intellectual property litigation. He also counsels clients regarding their intellectual property portfolio development through the creation, development, and leveraging of trademarks and copyright.
