29 September 2021

New York – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Amanda Albert as a partner in the benefits, ESOPs, and executive compensation practice. She joins the firm’s New York office from Allen & Overy LLP. Albert’s arrival closely follows the additions of New York partners Josh Berick and Jacqueline Duval to the firm’s corporate and asset management and investment funds practice areas, respectively.

Albert has substantial experience advising both public and private clients on employee benefits, employment, and executive compensation matters. She counsels clients on the full range of tax, ERISA, governance, securities, and regulatory issues in these matters, including related disclosure matters for public companies. In addition, she advises clients on new trends in these areas.

This includes representing clients on all employee benefits, employment, and executive compensation aspects of corporate transactions, including M&As, spin-offs, IPOs, reorganizations and restructurings, private equity, and funding transactions. Albert also works with clients, including business executives, boards, and compensation committees, in designing, implementing, administering, and adjusting their annual and long-term incentive compensation plans, and profits interest, employment, consulting, separation, retention, bonus, incentive, restrictive covenant, and other similar plans and agreements.

Seattle partner Karrie Johnson Diaz, a coordinator of K&L Gates’ benefits, ESOPs, and executive compensation practice group, stated: “We are thrilled to have Amanda join our employee benefits and executive compensation group. Her deep experience will be a benefit to our clients across the firm.”
