K&L Gates Bolsters Litigation Practice with Addition of Former Federal Prosecutor
1 April 2022Research Triangle Park – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Nathan Huff as a partner in its complex commercial litigation and disputes practice. He joins the firm’s Research Triangle Park office from Phelps Dunbar.
With more than 15 years of litigation experience, Huff concentrates his practice on business, including health care, and constitutional litigation and white collar defense. He also counsels agribusinesses ranging from start-ups to large farming operations and agricultural associations.
A former federal prosecutor, Huff has first-chaired multiple federal jury trials to verdict and his experience allows him to apply the insights of a prosecutor in leading internal investigations and preventing and responding to government enforcement actions. He is a Lieutenant Colonel and Judge Advocate (JAG) in the U.S. Army Reserve. From 2010 to 2014, Huff served as a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

The firm’s Research Triangle Park office also has welcomed partner Bobby Higdon (investigations, enforcement, and white collar), who most recently served as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and of counsel Lou Patalano (health care and FDA) within the past year.
