K&L Gates Ranked Among Ireland’s Leading Funds Practices
28 Februari 2024Global law firm K&L Gates’ Asset Management and Investment Funds team in Dublin has been ranked by the Monterey Insight Ireland Fund Report 2023 as one of the leading advisers to the Irish Funds industry. This year’s report reveals that K&L Gates was ranked second top legal adviser in relation to new business wins for Irish domiciled fund schemes in 2023. The firm is also ranked among top legal adviser of Irish domiciled schemes: new business within Irish domiciled sub-funds.
Commenting on the results of the report, Gayle Bowen, Asset Management and Investment Funds Partner and Dublin office Managing Partner, said:
“As a recent entrant into the Irish legal market, we are delighted to have been so highly ranked in relation to new business wins. It is an encouraging achievement and a testament to the bench strength of our Dublin AMIF team, which is further bolstered by our global platform. The current environment remains fiercely competitive, nonetheless, after we launched the Dublin office in January 2023, clients repeatedly turned to us for advice for private funds, ETF and ESG related matters, in line with market trends and in areas where we have deep-seated experience locally and globally. The demand for UCITS also remained steady.
We are also seeing a growing interest in the new Irish European long-term investment funds (ELTIFs) regime, specifically given the Central Bank of Ireland’s stated commitment to launching this product in Ireland this March. The regime appears to have a flexible framework that will provide certainty and speed to market, which we believe will offer clients attractive new investment options. We look forward to assisting those interested in exploring and unlocking opportunities when the new regime takes effect.”
