7 Oktober 2022

Portland – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added David Boyer as an of counsel in the real estate practice. He joins K&L Gates’ Portland office from Dunn Carney LLP.

Boyer focuses his practice on structuring, drafting, and negotiating business and real estate deals, advising individuals and businesses on complex multifamily, commercial, and industrial transactions. He has extensive experience counseling clients on real estate matters, including development, acquisition, disposition, construction, securities, financing, leasing, and land use. Boyer also represents institutional lenders, including multi-national banks, credit unions, and loan servicers, on financing matters involving acquisitions, transfers, refinancings, and investment strategies.

Shannon Skinner, co-leader of K&L Gates’ real estate practice, commented: “We are delighted to add David to our deep West Coast real estate bench. David’s experience with a broad range of development, finance, construction, and real estate matters will help us serve our clients in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the U.S.”

Boyer’s arrival follows the addition of a Nashville real estate team to the firm earlier this year, including partners Matt Harris and Rick Pensinger and of counsel Christian Schütz. They are among the more than 130 new partners and of counsel who have joined the firm globally since the beginning of 2020.

“We are excited that David has joined the Portland office,” said Shiau Yen Chin-Dennis, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Portland office. “His extensive experience advising on a variety of real estate and land use matters is a valuable addition to our global real estate practice.”

Lawyers in K&L Gates’ large, diversified real estate practice advise clients in a variety of real estate investment, land use, planning and zoning, development and construction, financing, leasing, tax, and litigation matters around the world.
